Just an Update!

It has been so long I forgot how to blog. Just kidding. But I do have a lot to share. Starting with Christmas. . .

We had a ward Christmas party and after the program, which Devin sat through on the stage with the kids, Santa showed up. I pointed out Santa to Devin while he was walking through the town hall to the stage, and when Santa was about ten feet from us in front of the stage Devin saw him and shouted Santa and ran to him and threw his arms around his legs. It was so priceless. When Dev sat on Santa's lap he had a cheesy smile the entire time and told Santa he wanted a truck and the Dragon movie ("How To Train Your Dragon"). It was adorable, and then Quinn was just his cute curious self.

We had a fantastic Christmas. The boys had a great time and were totally spoiled from mom and dad this year. We haven't been this abundant for Christmas, but this year we thought we would go all out. Devin might of had more fun with Quinn's toys at first, but then he realized that his were great too. We opened out gifts Christmas morning about 7 AM and then went to my parents' house for breakfast and more gifts about 10 AM. We spent a large portion of the day there.

A few days after Christmas we went to Star Valley for a week. We thought we would spend time with the Bowling in-laws and we had a great time. Devin grows closer to Gordon every time we see him. It is so great. Quinn warmed up to Granny and Grandpa Bowling quickly too and we had a great time for the week after Christmas.

The New Year has brought us some great surprises. We have a new family member, and here are some pictures. . .

So Taylor met Priscilla last September in Salt Lake by our cousin and his wife who introduced them. She is from Brazil and was visiting her Aunts, my cousin's wife and her sister who both live in SLC. So they met and hit it off quickly. Taylor proposed the end of October. They broke off their wedding a couple times for who knows what reasons. I think doubts and not knowing just how it was all going to work out. They decided to listen to each other and how they felt instead of family and other influences and went ahead with the wedding. We knew the final wedding plans just two days before the wedding. So we were all unprepared. The didn't invite hardly anyone. Not even his siblings received a formal invitation; just a "be there on this date at this time" from mom. Not very formal.

Well we witnessed the ceremony at their church house by their bishop in the chapel, where he allowed us to take some pictures. After the ceremony Priscilla wanted to take pictures at the Jordon River Temple next door. So we went 100 feet to the temple and took the pictures she wanted. It is very misleading to look at pictures of them in front of the temple because they didn't get married there, but that is sort of their romantic spot so maybe that is why we took some pictures there. After that uncomfortable few moments we went and had some great pizza at their favorite pizza place called The Pie Pizzeria. So all in all it was a great day, I guess. We don't know hardly anything about her but we all look forward to it. I think they are happy. Mom says they seem to be; however, they aren't really communicative with the family so we don't know anything.

Mom is working on sending out some announcements to everyone saying that Taylor got married. There is little details about Priscilla because she didn't want to give mom any information. Who knows why? But it is cute and mom and dad are pleased parents. What more can I say?

So there you go with the update. Life is great for the Bowlings!!

wow! I missed this for 2 days. The boys are soooo cute. We loved having you all here for Christmas week. I had so much fun getting to know Quinn better, and Devin is always fun. Gordon told me you called earlier tonight. We're praying Devin is much better soon. Keep us informed.
