Painting Project

So I begged Shane to let me paint the house we are renting. I was so sick and tired of the wood and white walls. I was having a hard time with the idea of living in this house for another 5+ years and having it look so old. Not to mention, I was starting my spring clean and I couldn't even wash the walls they were so dirty. So I asked the Forest Service if I could paint the house myself and they supply the paint. They agreed and I have been painting for almost a month with the help of Shane, my dad and my older brother. I have two rooms left and I will post pictures of that later, but I thought I would give you all a heads up with how things are looking. . .

Here is the master bathroom before. . .

I wanted an orange bathroom, so I picked a burnt spice. The cabinet was painted a cream color, and the door, trim, and baseboard was painted white. I love it!

Here is the bedroom that we use as our office before. . .

I wanted this room to be a soft green color. I love it so much! Whenever I want to relax and read I will probably go to this room. This is also where we keep a TV for Devin to go when we want the big TV. My comfortable office.

Shane really wanted gray in the bedroom. I was a little nervous about the color. A friend of mine said that she helped her boyfriend in college paint his room gray and that it was not good because it was light. I was bold and went a good medium color and I absolutely love how it turned out. Now I just need new drapes!

I didn't paint the walls, just the closet from wood to white and the door, trim, and baseboards.

I love this dark blue! We also painted the laundry room this same color. We painted the doors, trim, and baseboards white. The cabinet in the bathroom is cream, and the cupboards in the laundry room are white.

I have been repainting the ceilings white too. So this is a massive project and we are almost finished. Hopefully no more than another week. I will show some more final pictures later when it is all completely finished and put in order.
