Devin and I spent a great deal of time at the Wayne County Pool this summer. I bought Dev a life jacket at the beginning of the summer so that he would get use to the water and love swimming like I do. It took him about three days to learn how to move around in the water by himself and really be able to keep his balance with the jacket. By the end of the summer he was swimming on his back, jumping in the water off the side, and swimming laps around the pool. He was remarkable, and I look forward to next summer and his progress then.

This is Devin swimming in the pool all by himself.

This is Shane jumping off the high dive.

This is Devin making his dad help him jump in the water off the low dive into the water where I caught him.

And this is Devin swimming on his back. Great fun!

That's great that you can have a pool close and get your kids used to the water.
that last was me!
Wow! I'm so happy my grands are getting to be good swimmers! My poor kids really missed out.
Dev is a great little boy!
Great pics. It is good to see the boys having so much fun.
