Quinn Easton Bowling

We have our little guy here now. He came Monday morning at 6:16 AM. He is such a cute little thing. We have a few pictures for you all.





Here is how everything went down. I woke up to contractions at about 2:15 AM, thinking I was dreaming about the whole thing. I laid awake wondering about the funny feeling in my lower stomach and back then I went to the bathroom and then laid back down to try and go back to sleep. I was having funny feelings in my lower abdomen and thought maybe these were contractions. I went to the kitchen to time them and had one at 2:40, 2:45, and then at 2:49. I went to wake up Shane and told him I thought I was having contractions and told him to time them with me. They were 4.5 minutes apart and lasted about 25-30 seconds. I asked if we should go over the hill and he said, "Yeah let's go." We left at 3:10, dropped off Devin at my mom and dad's house and made it to Gunnison Valley Hospital at 4:20 AM.

I was checked in a few minutes later and checked for my progress. I was 5 centimeters dilated and had a bulging water. The doctor showed up at about a quarter after 5 and checked my progress - 7 centimeters. He broke my water and left for a little bit. Nurses changed at 5:30 AM and Barbara was my new nurse who checked me at 8 centimeters. She had me start pushing with contractions at about 5:45, the doctor came in at 6:00 and we gave birth to Quinn at 6:16 AM. He was 8 pounds 9 ounces with a 14 inch head, 14.5 inch chest, and 21 inches long. He has a full thick head of dark hair as you can see, and has long, large hands and feet. Everything is great and good with Quinn and Mom. We stayed at the hospital for only one day and got home Tuesday at noon. Life will be fun and exciting with two boys now. Devin is excited, and we just hope he doesn't kill the new guy. He is very adorable with Quinn and loves to give him kisses. Life is great!
